The origin of the name means “like a small laurel” from the Latin laureolus which refers to the leaves.

It belongs to the protea family

They  need well drained soil

Wonderful fillers to use in bouquets to fill them out or in bouquets on their own

They make stunning  accent shrubs in the garden and some are great as hedges in the garden
